Mark and Barb founded IAT in 2017 after nearly two decades of trying to find the best services possible when their once healthy and social son regressed into severe autism around the age of 18 months. They wanted to provide the autism community with service options that they wished were available for their son. They also pride themselves in finding high quality, compassionate and like-minded professionals that look for each client’s unique qualities and strengths. At IAT, we believe that all clients and families should feel safe, heard and empowered when receiving therapy services. And that all families that IAT serves are to be treated with dignity and respect. Over the past 22 years, Mark and Barb learned that in their son’s case, as with many other individuals, there is much more to autism than meets the eye. Autism is considered by many a behavioral diagnosis. However, in most cases it is accompanied with additional diagnoses and challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, speech delay, selective eating, sleep issues, and many medical co-morbidities that impact the immune system, and the central nervous system. Diagnostic overshadowing is a significant problem and can create a disservice for those with Autism. According to current research, among children with ASD: * over 70% have neuroinflammation * over 75% have hypoperfusion to the temporal lobes * over 80% have mitochondrial issues * over 59% have gut issues * We also know that environmental toxins—all play a role in the health of children affected by ASD. We can’t expect our kiddos to give our best when they are often feeling their worst. These are complex individuals, and an approach that works for one child may not work for another. Mark and Barb believe each client deserves to be viewed as an individual, and that it also takes a village of caring specialist and professionals to provide the best practice and service possible for this population.

Bailey is one of IAT’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts. She has over 12 years’ experience working in Applied Behavior Analysis. Bailey graduated with her Master of Science degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Montana State University. She has provided behavioral services in a variety of different states, including Hawaii, Montana, and Utah. She has practiced and supervised behavior analytic services in a variety of environments, including non-profit organizations, schools, residential homes, clinics, and home-based settings. She is very passionate about advocating for the health, happiness, and rights of children, adults, and families that have been impacted by special needs. Radical inclusion, kindness, and unconditional love are the main principles Bailey strives to live by. She loves spending time with her wife, family, friends, and three heelers. If she is not practicing ABA, you can find her on the slopes, in the mountains, playing basketball, traveling, spending time in Montana, or teasing her three younger siblings. She hopes to help families, like hers, who have been impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My name is Marco Ortiz and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working at Integrated Autism Therapies (IAT) since 2021. I became a BCBA in 2018, but have been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2015. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University Los Angels and a master’s degree in ABA from Arizona State University. I have had the opportunity to practice ABA in 3 different states (California, Arizona, and Utah) and with many families from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. I am from Mexico and have been living in the US since 2006. My favorite sport is boxing and love training boxing as my workout. In regards to my career, I love observing the progress of the people I work with and creating a better future for them.

Brooke is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2017. She graduated in 2016 from Utah Valley University with her bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, and shortly after began working as a registered behavior technician (RBT.) From the day she started as an RBT she fell in love with the field of ABA. She continued her education and obtained her master’s degree in Special Education with emphasis in ABA from Ball State University. Her experience ranges from school, clinical, and residential home settings. Brooke is a lifelong Utah resident and loves the beauty of this amazing state. When she is not practicing ABA you can find her in the mountains camping, riding her RZR, skiing, or disc golfing and enjoying time outside with her husband, son, and Australian shepherd.

My name is Mckensie, I have been a BCBA for almost 3 years and in the field of ABA for 10 years. My passion is teaching communication! I am married and have two kids who are my entire world. I love to be outside as much as I can. My favorite things to do include running, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, camping, or anything that includes being in the sunshine!

Shantell first became an RBT in 2016 and has been working in the field of ABA ever since. She has worked with kids and adults of all ages in the home, clinic, and school settings including working as a high school life skills teacher. She graduated from Utah State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in special education with an emphasis in severe disabilities and a minor in psychology and graduated with her Master of Arts degree in applied behavior analysis from Ball State University in July 2021. In her free time, she likes to bake and decorate cakes and spend time outside with her family.

Hi, I’m Taisha! I’m 34 and I graduated last year with a Bachelor's of art in Psychology. I recently moved back to Salt Lake City after living in Las Vegas for 6 years! I begin my Masters in Summer 2024 to become a BCBA.  I'm a mother to 3 teenagers and one Frenchie.  In my spare time you can find me writing my next book or crafting!

Melissa Venable is a Behavior Analyst in Training and has been a member of the IAT team since 2019. She is pursuing a Master’s in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to this, she worked as a para-educator in the Missouri school system. Melissa has had the opportunity to work with individuals diagnosed with a variety of disorders in these roles and finds the work both challenging and rewarding. Her undergraduate degree is in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In addition, she worked in the financial industry managing a 401(k) Plan department. This corporate experience taught her business management, organizational skills, and excellent team leadership. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, and riding horses. She volunteers at an equine assisted therapy center where her love of kids and horses blend beautifully.

A quick bio- Hi my name is Cam. I’m currently attending The University of Utah and majoring in Education Psychology and minoring in Psychology. I graduate in the Fall 2024. I’m working towards my Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst credential. In my free time I like to do yoga and knit.

Hi my name is Casey. I recently graduated from Arizona State University in my BCBA coursework and am hoping to finish my fieldwork hours to become a BCBA soon.  I worked as an RBT for 5 years and I love working in this field and I'm excited to finish my internship!  I live with my husband and adorable Terridoodle doggo.  I have 18 nieces and nephews (and counting) and they are all the loves of my life! When I'm not busy being the doting aunt and playing with my dog, I love to go on hikes and camping and I love to read and play board and card games with my friends and family.  My most common pastime is watching a show with my husband and a big pint of ice cream! 

Working with people of all ages is Julia's passion, and being a speech-language pathologist for 15 years has only increased that passion. She enjoys the challenge of working with children with autism and belives deeply in the power of communication, whether verbal or nonverbal. She graduated from both BYU and the University of Utah and continues to seek learning whenever possible. Julia loves audiobooks, chocolate and walks to the park with her family.

My name is Nate Cantor, I am one of the Speech-Language Pathologists here at IAT. I specialize in early intervention, early language learning, Gestalt language Processing/Natural Language Acquisition, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), Articulation therapy, and parent training approaches such as the Hanen Program. I take a whole-family and parent empowerment approach to my practice and absolutely love to watch children and families grow together. Children have so much potential, let's work together to help them learn and grow!"

Hello! My name is Tiani and I am an SLPA. I received my bachelors in communication disorders and deaf education from the University of Utah. In my free time I enjoy reading, baking and playing with my son.

I grew up in beautiful Idaho.  I am married and the mother of 3 incredible children.  After several years of volunteering in classrooms and PTA, the school hired me where I worked in a variety of positions.  Happily, I was able to return to my favorite area: speech and language, where I had earned my Bachelor’s degree at BYU.  Outside of work, I enjoy nature walks/hikes and traveling to new places.  I usually have a sewing project, often costumes for my family’s activities in ballet and theater.  While treasuring what I already have,  I like learning new things and meeting new people.

Hi, my name is Daniel St Clair (he/his) and am excited to be joining the IAT team as an Occupational Therapist. I've lived all over the world from South Africa to Switzerland and somehow wound up in Utah with along with the rest of my family. I always loved working within the realm of pediatrics and with the birth of my wonderful twin niece and nephew in 2021 it really reignited my passion again. I have experience working as an RBT as part of the University of Utah, and look forward side by side with all of you!

Destiny Robles is an Occupational Therapist at IAT. She has a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Utah. After graduation, she returned to her childhood neighborhood, West Valley City, to work in early intervention. She has a multitude of clinical skills in coaching, feeding, sensory, motor, and behavior. She is very passionate about learning and supporting others to learn. In her free time, she is exploring the outdoors with her husband and two children, learning new recipes, or caring for her indoor plants.

My name is Landon Stewart I have a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Utah Valley University and then went on to get my associates in occupational therapy assisting from Ameritech College of Healthcare. I’ve been licensed and working as an occupational therapy assistant for almost three years now, the majority of that time being spent at IAT but I’ve also worked in skilled nursing facilities and in school districts as well. I have additional certifications in hand writing and adaptive equipment as well on top of my professional license. I’ve also worked as an RBT for about 4 years and this has helped immensely for me personally when integrating across disciplines as I have familiarity in both the fields of ABA therapy and occupational therapy. I’ve been married for about two years now and my wife has twin 14 year old brothers who are both diagnosed with ASD and I feel this has also helped me get a better idea of how life can be at home for the kids we work with as well as their families which I feel has also helped improve my overall approach as an occupational therapy practitioner. I absolutely love working with these special kids and their families to help improve their quality of life and for them to become as independent as possible!

Ali Niederhauser grew up in Murray Utah and is a graduate of Murray High School and Southern Utah University receiving a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She recently graduated from Joyce University receiving her Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant degree. Ali has experience as a CNA, support in a group home, and a camp counselor for kids with special needs. Ali grew up with her parents and her younger brother Devon, who was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2 years old. Being two years older, she attended many of his appointments, and loved going to occupational therapy with him. This is where she determined she wanted to grow up to be an Occupational Therapist. Ali has been working for Integrated Autism Therapies for 3 years and is currently the clinic coordinator. She is looking forward to starting to work with clients doing Occupational Therapy. She loves working with the kids and seeing the progress they have made. Ali has 3 dogs, Milo, Ginger, and Indy. Ali loves dinosaurs, Star Wars, pirates and Halloween. Ali enjoys reading, drawing and painting. She also likes going for rides and spending time outdoors (when the weather is nice) as much as possible. Her favorite vacation destination is Hawaii, and she hopes to return someday soon.

Bobbi graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Dixie State. She loves helping others with a smile. She’s the proud parent of 2 little boys and is happily married to her high school sweetheart. When she is not busy spending time with family, she enjoys organizing/decluttering, learning ways to be functionally healthier, going on long walks with friends and spending time relaxing in solitude. Bobbi is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the IAT family.

Lisa is from Taylorsville UT where she lives with her husband, Jason and their pet bunny, Hershey. They are the parents of two daughters, Nicole and Addy. Lisa directs the Murray Community Dance Program and has been teaching children for over 30 years. Tap is her favorite style of dance, and she loves sharing the dance floor with her many students as they learn together. She with her husband currently serve as the chairs of Forever Bound Adoption, having been adoption advocates since their daughters were young.   Lisa enjoys being with her family, Disneyland, Sunday night board games, chalk art, softball, children’s literature and Christmas.   She loves working at IAT and interacting with the kids, parents and staff. Lisa loves to laugh and you can often find her spending time playing with the kids in the clinic when she takes a break.

I'm a simple person. like taking photos, being in the sun, reading, and moving. I've been in the mental/behavioral/human services field for over 10 years. Being kind and helpful brings me a sense of harmony.

Barb received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She was in the process of pursuing her masters in nutrition and running her fitness business when her once verbal and social son regressed into autism and developed several additional co-morbidities seemingly overnight. Her son’s regression and additional diagnoses changed her path of study and her passion. Over the past 20 years of reserach and education,  Barb found a new passion for biomedical research, functional nutrition, functional and integrative medicine, and behavior change. Barb is a member of the Bioindivdual Nutrition Institute and has completed their Foundations Courses. She is board certified as a Integrative and Functinoal Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP). Barb is curious by nature and has a love of learning and research. She holds the following health related certifications; Certified Health & Behavior Change Specialist, Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC), ACE Certified Health Coach, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Mandt Certified Trainer, and Advanced Brain Technologies The Listening Program (TLP). Barb is a firm believer that  nutrition and environment play a major role in overall health, behavior outcomes, and quality of life. As a parent and full-time caregiver of a medically complex child, Barb has seen the significant impact diet, lifestyle, quality therapy services with caring providers can make in a child’s life.  She is a firm believer that parents/caregivers are the experts on their own child and should have a say and buy-in for their child’s therapy program to ensure the best outcome possible for the child.
